Description
This is a material used to produce countless textiles, from sleepwear to bed linens. The first thing to consider when distinguishing this fabric from others is the density of the fibers used. Unlike other popular materials like corduroy, flannel, or jersey, microfiber has an unprecedentedly low linear density weave. It is less than 1 denier, which means that microfiber is about 100 times thinner than a human hair. It’s also important to note that this material is made from a blend of two main fibers, meaning it contains both polyester and polyamide microfibers.
